Late evening at Zurich Hauptbahnhof
The hostel happened to be damn far away that I was forced to buy a 24hr pass and took the tram.
Accommodations in Switzerland are relatively expensive. The hostel was okay yet I didn't have time to enjoy its facilities. Who is gonna stay at the hostel to 'enjoy' anyway?
The next morning.... a little bit disappointed with the weather
Landesmuseum
Bata is actually quite popular in Switzerland
View from Lindenhof - the so called highest spot of the city
Augustinergasse - a famous street with its beautiful buildings
St. Peter Kirche
Nothing. Just the date that matters.
Fraumünster
along the Rimmat river
Zunfthaus zur Haue
Grossmünster
Newspaper vending machine! Okay at least I've never seen it before.
Flower clock on Burkliplatz
Zurich eye? No idea.
Someone was stacking the stones
The Chinese Garden - a gift from Zürich's partner town, Kunming
Entrance fee required. Why would I pay to see a Chinese 'garden' in Europe?
Plenty of time yet feeling lazy to walk so I took the ferry back to Burkliplatz
Along Bahnofstr - the main shopping street
Lunch+dinner at Niederdorfstr
Local speciality - Kalbsleberli geschnetzelte with Rösti + Salat i.e. diced calves liver in cream sauce with potatoes and salad
not to forget my collection of huge pot all around Zurich. Each and everyone of them has different theme and design painting, displayed in the public and to be auctioned.
Before leaving, I bought myself a souvenir - a Swiss knife. I don't know why.
I love Switzerland. Chocolates. Cheese. Watches. Red and white flag with a cross. Fresh air. Peaceful. Relaxed. Beautiful scenery. Green. Lovely environment. I yearn to spend one whole day lying on the grass doing nothing. This is how we enjoy our life but sadly I had no time.
Switzerland, I'll be back!
Next station: Munchen Hauptbahnhof
