Finally settled down to work after one month 'rest'
I was (am still) lazy, I know.
Currently working in a take-away shop and on probation in another restaurant.
Both serve Chinese & English meals.
Gains:
- £££££
- experience
- meet more people
- have my leisure time fully occupied
- free food+drinks, especially Chinese meals which are expensive
Difficulties yet to be overcome:
- still having trouble in taking orders as Scousers are best known for their strong unintelligible Scouse accent
- what makes thing worse is that I have to convert the orders into Chinese words, I can still read but it's really the time for me to pick up on writing Chinese again
- I was required to memorise the menu and price lists for both shops, which is confusing and killing
- my Maths suck (Lawyers don't calculate, they estimate and often give a higher quote =P )
Anyway, I think I'll be able to cope with them, soon.
