City walker

It's Saturday!
After buying some stuff from the supermarket in Chinatown, I walked around the city. Yes, on my own.

As you can see, the streets were so busy and crowded. People were shopping around as there are sales everywhere. From 99p store to all those branded shops, you can shop till crazy!

The 08 Shop - the Tourist Information Centre and Liverpool official souvenirs shop. If I were a tourist, I will definitely spend till I broke here. The souvenirs are nice and unique but expensive, of course. So, since I'll be staying in Liverpool for the next 2 years, I don't think I should buy.

The weird creature below is called Superlambbananas. Even though it is claimed as one of Liverpool's most iconic and best loved pieces of public art, to me, it is just a lamb (more like a dog actually) with banana tail, i.e. monster.

As the European Capital of Culture of 2008, there are up to 100 superlambbananas placed all over the Liverpool. But so far, I've only seen 4 of them, 2 in this 08 shop.

OMG I love this! Liverpool edition of Monopoly! It costs £25 but no point buying it because no one is gonna play this with me anymore.

Liverpool Football Club Store - a paradise for Liverpool FC fans. Even though I don't know anything about football, I still went in to have a look.

Most of the goods are in red and white, it reminds me of the Coca-cola store I visited in Japan. But luckily it is not, or else seriously I don't think I can control myself from spending money. Again, as this shop is selling the genuine official FC merchandise, unlike those from Petaling Street, things are super expensive.

Today's menu

Indomee with sausages and fried egg. Simple yet homely.
