0824 - Oslo

As usual, I'm gonna tell my story with photographs I took.
I've taken 8913 photos throughout my whole journey, so it takes a little while for me to screen them out and show you. Anyhow what you see here will not be the same as what I saw, I've seen them with my bare eyes.

Being in the UK for more than 6 months, I was entitled to purchase an Interrail Global Pass which allows me to explore Europe by rail for one month.

with my 65L backpack which is almost half of my height

and two guidebooks...

off I go!

First destination, the most expensive city - Oslo, Norway.

My flight arrived in Oslo Torp airport at 3pm. From the airport, I took the coach to the city center. However, the city center is way too far from what I expected that I only reached there at almost 530pm.
The first thing to do all the time: find the hostel and drop your bag.
After buying the 24hrs Oslo pass, I took the tram to the hostel that I've booked earlier.

However, as the direction given was not clear enough, I kinda lost my way after I got off from the tram. There I met a French girl who was also lost in finding her way to the hostel. We laughed, we studied the map, we walked, we asked others for the direction and finally we found it - Oslo Haraldsheim

It's on the hill and it was killing to climb it with a 12kg backpack on your shoulders.

It was 630pm after I checked in. Without wasting any time, I went back to the city center.

Instead of exploring, I was just walking around because it was the first day, it was getting late and darker, and Oslo has nothing interesting but its expensiveness.

Oslo Fjord

Oslo Harbour

That night, I got some stuff from Kiwi supermarket and had my dinner in the hostel. I know it was pathetic, as I told you, everything is expensive. Yet it was the first day and it never happen again.

The next morning, after having a luxury buffet breakfast at 630 in the morning, I rushed to Oslo Sentral-stasjon and there is where I started my rail journey.

Next station: Stockholm Centralstationen
