20080927

The IT Induction Session ended earlier today.
So we decided to go for the must-eat-food in the UK - Fish & Chips as our lunch. One of our local friends guided us to the most famous+best fish & chips shop in the town - Lobsters Pot. Lobsters Pot is famous for fish & chips and not lobsters, I wonder why. But I didn't see any lobsters in the shop anyway. It's a take-away shop, so we 'ta bao' and went back to another friend's place to enjoy our lunch.

It looks nice but it's actually very oily. Everyone said that it's nice but it's too salty for me. The portion is very big. I couldn't finish it so I took it back for my dinner. Yet, I still couldn't finish it.

We had a nice chat after lunch until 3pm. Then, few of us went to Chinatown.

A don't-know-what church. It's beautiful though. There are many beautiful buildings in the city but I don't have the mood to use my camera yet. Soon, maybe.

Chinatown!

But it looks dead in the day (I don't know whether it's the same at night) as compared to the one in Sydney.

And there is a Chung Wah Supermarket with lots of chinese+malaysian+asian stuff there. Maggi Mee (I don't like it though), Indomee, all sorts of instant noodles, rice, chinese herbs, different kinds of sauces, Milo, frozen bau, dumplings, dimsum, cincau, tauhu, anything you can say! I feel home seeing all these.

Things here are quite cheap. Even cheaper than Malaysia if you DON'T convert it to Malaysian currencies. I tried not to. But yeah, it takes time.
