Cheshire Oaks

Christmas is over...

but due to those damn assignments, I did not celebrate xmas nor did I go anywhere on boxing day. In fact, I've been staying at home since I was back from Manchester last Wednesday.

In order to compensate myself, I decided to go to Cheshire Oaks yesterday. More precisely, I went to the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village - the largest designer outlet in the UK. In short, what people do there is shopping shopping and shopping.

Don't ask me where Cheshire Oaks is, it's not in Liverpool but I seriously have no idea where the hell it is. All I did was just hopping into the right bus which I didn't even know where to get off!

And yes, I went there on my own. I prefer shopping alone. I enjoy the freedom of going wherever I like and buying whatever I want, rather than listening and giving comments on the goods or having to wait for the someone else outside the fitting room.

Anyway, it took me an hour to reach there. The first thing I saw is...

According to the information stolen from the website, this is Britain’s biggest artificial tree which has over 80,000 baubles and 100,000 lights. This 94ft tall extravaganza is the same size as 7 London buses stacked on top of each other.

I wasn't surprised by the xmas tree. Instead, I was rather surprised by the village itself. No joke, it is really a village, with more than 100 stores! As the stores are all in single-story, shopping store-by-store is just like going into house-to-house. However, the biggest disadvantage of the village-concept is that you have to walk outdoors. Well, the average temperature of the day was about 2c. Freakin' cold!

I did not manage to take pic of the village because firstly, I thought the wise thing to do was to fight for more time in doing shopping, and secondly, the area is too big for me to capture the whole picture of the village.

Sales sales sales everywhere. Price reduction up to 75%. Indeed, things there are much cheaper than the original stores. Everywhere was so crowded, but it was expected. I took 4 hours just to explore the whole village and it was just window shopping. However, I did manage to get something for myself Hoho

There will be another sale in the end of January with even further price reduction.
I'll be back!
